Mapping a Network Drive - Windows

First, you will need to obtain the full network drive address. IT can give it to you, if you do not already know it.

Then go to "This PC" in File Explorer. You can find File Explorer in your start menu if it is not pinned

In the This PC page, click on the three-dot menu at the top and select "Map Network Drive."

In the Map Network Drive dialog box, select any Drive letter; whichever you choose is irrelevant for future access. Then fill in the Folder field with the network address you were given. The network address will look like \\ExampleServer\rootFolder\networkDrive

Make sure "reconnect at sign-in" is selected. Otherwise, you'll be prompted to sign in each time you want to access the drive.

Mapped network drives will only be reachable when off-campus by signing into the VPN first.
