A quick guide on releasing Final Adjusted Grades for your classes in Brightspace.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start by navigating to the class you wish to enter grades, then go to Grades and make sure you're on the Enter Grades tab.
Once there, scroll all the way to the right and find the Final Adjusted Grade column.
Click the drop-down arrow then Enter Grades.
On this page the input fields in the Grade column under Final Adjusted Grade should empty. This is where the Final Adjusted Grade will be calculated. (These can be manually input or changed if needed for special instances if needed)
To calculate all students' grades, click the drop-down arrow next to Final Grades page title and click Recalculate All.
You will see a new window with options of assignments to include in the calculation.
Unless you want to only include/exclude certain assignments from the final calculation, you can check the upper-left box to select all. Click Calculate to continue.
You will be prompted to confirm, click Yes to continue. (The number of users will very from class to class)
Once calculated, the Grade column under Final Adjusted Grade should populate numbers reflexive of the Grade column under the Final Calculated Grade column. If those boxes are empty, the adjusted grade will not show.
Alternatively, if you only need to calculate final grades for an individual user, click the calculator icon next to the input fields in the Grade column under Final Adjusted Grade to be prompted with the same window that allows you to choose all or select assignments to be calculated and proceed as you would if calculating all.
Lastly, make sure the grades are released by ensuring the box in the Released column is checked.
Some classes are set to release grades automatically, but if your class is not and need to do it manually there is an option to Release All under the drop-down menu next to the Final Grades page title. It will prompt for confirmation so click Yes to continue.
After that, your grades should be calculated and released.
