How to Accept a Roommate Request in the Campus Portal

Getting Started


1. Navigate to the Campus Life section of your school's portal


2. Select Student from the left side bar


3. Select Residence Life from the left side bar


4. Choose an open session (for example, the 2025 Fall Session)



Checking Roommate Requests


When the Roommate section opens, you can see any roommate requests you have received


You'll see the names of students who have sent you requests (for example, Monica Hillman)



Accepting a Roommate Request


When you're ready to accept a roommate request:

 

1. Click the Accept Request button


       -  A pop-up window will appear with vital information: 


        - You will no longer be able to accept or send any other roommate requests


2. Review the message and select "Accept Request" if you want to proceed




After Accepting

  • The student will be added to your list of accepted roommate requests
  • You'll also see any other students who have accepted the same person's roommate request
  • You have the option to cancel the acceptance by selecting the cancel button

Important Notes

  • You can only have one accepted roommate at a time
  • Accepting a request will prevent you from accepting other requests
